Not to scare you off or to sound like a person with OCD, but can you imagine how filthy door knobs can get? Microorganisms can thrive in door knobs of public toilets due to unhygienic practices. Who knows what bodily wastes and fluids door knobs contain? There’s also the risk of contracting diseases like H1N1, Hepatitis A, Influenza, and Meningitis. Although studies show that ATMs or computer keyboards are dirtier than restroom doorknobs, the fact that not everyone washes their hands after using the toilet is enough reason to not just rely on strict cleaning schedules alone.
